As we get older, independent living can be even more cherished, yet it can also present us with new challenges.
As much as we may want to maintain our existing lifestyle, the hassle of running a large family home can sometimes get the better of us – making everyday living more difficult than they had been in the past, particularly if our homes aren’t quite suitable for our current capabilities.
Homes tailored to keep your independence
At Birchgrove, our apartments are designed to not only be nice to look at, but easy to use too, helping you to maintain your independence.
The appliances in our fully fitted kitchens are all waist height for easy access – so you can still cook your favourite meals whenever you want.
The ensuite showers are walk-in, and have simple to use switches, taps and plugs – making it easier for you to feel your best.
Independent living that cares about you
Moving to a new home doesn’t mean leaving the things you care about behind. Our apartments are designed in unique layouts and can be furnished to match your individual tastes and personality.
If you have a well-behaved furry friend, they’re welcome to live with you too, be it a cat, dog, or other pet*. We know that they’re not just animals, they’re family.
And our 24-hour concierge allows you to relax in the knowledge that the residence is secure, with each room of your apartment having direct communication to our 24-hour emergency call service.
A helping hand, should you need it
There may be times you want a helping hand with a few things around your apartment. That’s why we include one hour’s domestic assistance per week as part of your rent.
This means our staff can lend you a hand around the house with tasks such as cleaning, cooking, shopping, or even doing the ironing if you like.
We’re there to help you to enjoy your time at Birchgrove, should you need it.
